I promised someone that I would give them some character descriptions for artwork, so I thought I'd work on them here. It'll be easy to get them at school this way.

Raviht Lehyon

Raviht is a natural soldier. When he entered the military at thirteen, Lynus took him in, seeing his potential, and trained him as his right hand. Through both innate skill and years of experience commanding troops and fighting in battle himself, Raviht has become a strong man and a powerful leader. Though terrible in his might, Raviht has a pure and righteous heart, and he is driven by only the most noble motives. In all ways, he is the classic hero, strong, intelligent, firm, yet caring. His only great weakness is a lack of confidence which stems from a great loss he was never able to forgive himself for. Despite this, he is still the most capable leader in Fortuna.

Raviht's appearance is impressive, equal to his character. He stands a full six and a half feet tall. He has a large build, staying in peak physical condition through constant training. Though his strength is his most apparent physical advantage, he is also very agile, though being adorned with heavy armor and weaponry often masks this fact. He generally fights with either a long sword or a battle axe, though he is trained to use the javelin as well as any soldier. His complexion is of light tanned skin, much scarred from battle, he has blue eyes, and long dusty brown hair.

Gelandel

Gelandel is a Muse, and is thus very plain in appearance. His figure is noble and beautiful. He is tall, slender, graceful and precise, though not very strong. His skin is pale and fair, his facial features thin and almost always expressionless. He has brown hair that is full, long, and straight. Though he does not look decisively feminine, he shares the androgenous look of most Muses. He wears a robe and only light protection and weapons, he is a creator of beautiful things, and only fights as a necessity. He seems to glide in his movement, and except in Cealus, his body is partly transparent. In Detrahus his physical form almost vanishes entirely.

Gelandel is the product of a great hero, the legendary warrior who challenged Rhadamanthus, the king of the Fiends during his conquest three hundred years ago. He does not readily express emotion and seems largely apathetic to his situation. Other than his desire to create, his only apparent passion lies in his competition with Rigju. Borne as a Fiend from the same hero, Rigju is Gelandel's twin. For his great disgust with the race of Fiends, and a pride in the creative beauty of the Muses, Gelandel is driven to show that he is the better of the two. Though he is a craftsman of talent surpassing even the Dwarves, it is a difficult struggle for him to compair with Rigju's unequaled prowess in battle. Not even I am sure who will be the victor of this competition, but it can be said that unknown forces must unite these two if they are ever to obtain their true potential.

A last interesting fact about Gelandel and Muses in general. Since the Muse are beings primarily consisting of Will of the mind, they can act as a medium to join with the Will and Potential of others. This is a very difficult process, and requires a strong relationship or link between the Muse and subject being joined. Though uncommon, it is not impossible for many different people to combine their energy using a Muse as a medium. Fortunately, though the chance for failure is quite high, there is only very rare instances of failed meldings harming the participants, the Muse itself being the person put at most risk, though also in the best position to assess the dangers.

Dyne

Dyne underwent some experimentation to increase his abilities that left him rather freakish. His sole goal in life seems to be defeating Lance, though his origins are a mystery. Ashamed at the cost of his revenge, however, he never removes his ninja garb because of the hatred he has for what he has become. His build is average, he is incredibly strong, though from his appearance only agility is suggested. Not only does he wear the suit of a ninja, but he also moves with their deadly swiftness and accuracy. Surrounded on the battle field, his actions often are too quick for the eye to follow. The only notable physical feature are his red, glowing eyes, and metalic claws on his right hand. All else is carefully concealed by his apparel.

After Raviht defects from Fortuna's military, Dyne appears from seemingly nowhere to take command of King Lynus' army. Though he is supposed to be creating a key to break the seal, he seems more concerned with facing Lance than anything else. He soon realizes though, that even with his demonic powers, he is no match for Lance while he is traveling with the Heroes. Should he ever face Lance in single combat though their fates may hang in a different balance. What force moves Dyne though, does it surpass that which drives Lance? Could his need to defeat Lance truly be his greatest motive, or is that only a manifestation of some other desire. Eventually he may seek out the ones who tricked him into becoming a monster, though the answer to the question of his motives may be surprising, or perhaps, they will forever remain a mystery.

It's funny as a creator, coming up with all of this. There are a lot of questions which I don't think of, some that I preffer not to, and other's that I know, but can't ever share with the world. In some ways, I like this last aspect, I think it is more interesting to leave some things to the imagination. I do wish to do these people justice, however, and I know in my heart that for this story to work, I must be honest about them, and allow them to be who they are, despite whatever mechanations I require for a plot. The fun thing is though, that for the most part, I can find a way to influence and make them do what is necessary, and still allow them to be true to themselves by manipulating the little things that they would never think to question. I wonder if my life is like that at times. All the little things, flat tires, spare change on the ground, red lights, the things it doesn't do any good to question. They could so easily be controlling my life, and there would be nothing for me to say or do about it. I really enjoy the power of the little things, regardless of whether they are neutral, or really some force for good or for ill.
