I worked out what the final climax in Empee: The Origin will be. I'm quite pleased with it, I'd thought up a lot of ideas that seemed cool, but they all felt forced and unbelievable. But this isn't like any of those. It's like it was meant to be... for me it makes other parts of the story seem even more real, not contrived, or meaningless. I wonder how much of it I should explain though, because there is what is really happening, and then there is what the reader actually experiences. This is very exciting for me, I wish I had someone to share it with... maybe I'll call Neela or something.

Whew, been working on the story so much lately that I've not had any time to work on the game very much. I really do want this to be both, but right now my attention is more on the novel. It will be helpful for it, but I can't forget that the game's story will have to a lot different because of the medium. I think it should work out though.

I saw a little of Final Fantasy X-2 today. The system was better than I had imagined, but the girliness factor... it is worse than I could have possibly imagined. I wanted to throw up at least 12 times during the first 20 minutes of that game. But, despite all this, it looks like it might be fun, and the first one was so good, it'd be nice to see what they do with the story. There are a lot of stretches so far, but they did a reasonable job of explaining everything from what I saw. I definitely liked Tidus better as a narrator though. I mean, it's not bad to have a female narrator, but it is when she's all perky/wishy-washy/I don't really know but it's annoying. So yeah, it was better and worse than I imagined it was going to be, so it all works out, somehow.
