This song is one of my favorites probably next only to the impossible dream. Hmm, Man of la Mancha...
(After Don Quixote(D) recalls the words to the impossible dream which Aldonza/Dulcinea(A) has tried so desperately to remind him of)
A:"Oh, thank you my lord!"
D:"But this is not seemly, on thy knee, to me?"
A:"But my lord you are not well!"
D:"Not well! What is illness to the body of a knight errant? What matter wounds, for each time he falls he shall rise again, and woe to the wicked! Sancho!"
S:"Here your grace!"
D:"My armor, my sword!"
S:"More misadventures?"
D:"Adventures old friend!"
(Sings "I, Don Quixote reprised", and dies on the final words)
A:"A man died. He seemed a good man, but I did not know him."
S:"But!..."
A:"Don Quixote is not dead! Believe Sancho, believe."
S:"Aldonza?"
A:"My name, is Dulcinea."
