For ages, many have reported an intangible darkness that haunts the back of their minds and their dreams. The darkness that appears in the dreams of certain individuals may merely be an illusion created by the subconscious to fulfill certain psychological needs that humans have developed since their lives have become much less unpredictable and more secure in this age as compared to earlier eras of human existence. Some also believe, however, that this so-called “illusion”, is actually created by a real darkness that exists in our world, that we can only perceive on a subconscious level. This is to say that we are all, at some level, aware of this force, but only few are able to witness explicit effects of it, such as those who experience images of it in their dreams.
